One Styling Habit + One Wallpaper Twist You’ll Want to Try

Want a quick refresh without the full room makeover? Don’t miss these two high-impact styling ideas—one easy habit, one bold twist.

🌸Start this Vase-Flip HABIT!

Let’s start with your decor accents—specifically, your vases. This is one of my favorite ways to refresh a space without spending a thing.

1. Start by Rearranging

Rearranging your vases is one of the quickest ways to shift the mood of a room—no shopping required.

Grab a few from around your home and simply swap their spots.
✔ Move the one from your bedroom to your kitchen.
✔ Try the one from your entryway table and move to your laundry room.
✔ Bring a vase from the guest room into the bathroom.

Just that little flip-flop can completely change how a space feels.

2. Lighten Things Up

As you rearrange, put away any that feel dark, bulky, or too wintry. Bring out your lighter, airier, or glass vases for a softer look that says, “Yes, it’s spring!"

3. Shop your own home.
Head to that shelf, cabinet, or corner where you keep a few extra vases. (I’ve got a little stash in my basement that I rotate as the seasons change.)

4. Just Add a Stem

Swap in a simple stem or two—I’ve been using this faux gypsophila on repeat because it works in every room.

🌀Add a Wallpaper TWIST to Your Styling

Now let’s talk wallpaper—but not just for walls. If you’re looking to add depth, pattern, or personality in unexpected places, this is such a fun styling move.

1. Think beyond the obvious.
Yes, wallpaper looks great on a feature wall—but don’t stop there. Try it:

  • Behind open shelving in your kitchen or mudroom
  • Inside a linen closet or pantry door (so fun when you open it!)
  • On the back of bookcases, hutches, or glass-front cabinets
  • Framed as artwork
  • As your “headboard”
  • On the ceiling

2. Choose the right vibe for your space.
Want something soft and breezy? I’ve got options.
Craving a bold pop in a small nook or powder room? Covered that too.
I broke down four gorgeous coastal wallpaper designs—and where they shine best.

3. Keep it easy.
Most of the ones I share are removable and renter-friendly, so if you’re nervous about commitment, don’t be.

From subtle to bold, this post breaks down how to actually style 4 gorgeous coastal wallpapers. 😉Psst -- it includes a cheat sheet on where each wallpaper works best—plus what to pair it with.

Flairful Favorite🌊

This hand-carved wood bowl is currently on my kitchen table. You'll LOVE its whitewash finish! It pulls together candles, a vase, and a little seasonal touch—without the clutter. I’ll share a photo so you can see how I styled it with a vase I flip-flopped from my living room ottoman and a Gypsophila Leaf Stem.

Hue of the Week: WINDOW PANE

Sherwin Williams SW6210 | HEX#D7DFD8

This soft, airy, bright and playful blue-green pastel feels like a spring breeze in paint form. It’s crisp but calming and plays so well with neutrals or natural textures.

Try it:
✔ Bedroom walls for a light, uplifting retreat
✔ Bathroom ceiling (so pretty & unexpected!)
✔ Built-ins/bookcases for a subtle color splash

What's In, What's Out

IN – Light, easy updates that shift the vibe without redoing the whole room
OUT – Hanging onto old paint colors that no longer spark joy (👋 Pewter Tankard—I still love you, but I’m ready for something brighter in my living room! Stay tuned...)

Current Obsession

🌿Faux gypsophila stems!
Light, wispy, and totally foolproof. It instantly makes any vase feel fresh. I’ve used it in three different rooms this month!)
