Give Your Home a Breezy Boost This Week

If your home’s feeling a little heavy or off-season, these quick styling swaps are the perfect way to bring in that summer feeling without going full-on beach house.

Here are 7 of my favorite ways to refresh your space this week:

☀️ Use a Turkish beach towel as a table runner
Light, casual, and machine-washable—this one’s my go-to. Way more fun than stiff linen.

🌿 Add faux greenery that moves
Look for light, airy stems (like eucalyptus or something wispy). Instant refresh for a console or bathroom vanity.

🧺 Bring in woven textures
Think trays, baskets, or natural materials on furniture and walls. A little rattan goes a long way.

Lighten up the visual weight
Remove one decor layer and pause. Summer style is more about breathing room than piling things on.

🌀 Switch up your scents
If your candle still smells like cinnamon, maybe it’s time for sea salt, citrus, or coconut. Small switch—big seasonal impact.

🪞 Style with glass + natural wood
The combo of clear and earthy keeps your look fresh, not fussy.

🚫 Skip the kitschy coastal
No rope knots. No “Life’s a Beach” signs. (Unless you’re 100% in on the theme.) You can feel beachy without being literal.

And that’s just the beginning... the full blog post has ideas for shelves, entry tables, porch zones, and easy seasonal swaps that work in every style of home.

Flairful Favorite🌊

Faux eucalyptus stem—I love to use it in a tray, in a vase, even laid across a shelf for that soft, layered look. It’s the kind of piece that works in any season, but feels especially fresh when you’re clearing out visual clutter and leaning into lighter textures.

Hue of the Week: SEA SALT

Sherwin Williams SW6204 | HEX #CDD2CA

A breezy, sun-warmed neutral that plays well with soft coastal tones.

What's In, What's Out

IN – Textures that breathe + accents with movement
OUT – Stiff decor and overly themed looks

Current Obsession

Styling one tray a week (or heck, a month) with something new—it’s like decorating in mini. (And it scratches the creative itch without a full redo.)

Little Habit, Big Mood

🌬️ Cracking a window first thing in the morning. The breeze, the birds… instant summer vibes before the day starts.
